Taking a Look at Other Charts on Billboard

Hey guys! So, I’ve had the Hot 100 up on my blog for quite a while now, and I even added the pop charts too. The reason this is there is because I wanted to put it on my blog without it being in every single countdown post. So, today, we’re going to take a look at some other charts on Billboard and just basically my general reaction to them.

Alright, let’s start by taking a look at the Billboard 200 which is a list of albums. Here are the top 10.

#1: So Much Fun - Young Thug
#2: Hello From Las Vegas - Lionel Richie
#3: Quality Control: Control The Streets, Volume 2 - Various Artists
#4: WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? - Billie Eilish
#5: No.6 Collaborations Project - Ed Sheeran
#6: Cuz I Love You - Lizzo
#7: Indigo - Chris Brown
#8: Port of Miami 2 - Rick Ross
#9: Free Spirit - Khalid
#10: Shawn Mendes - Shawn Mendes

Well, it’s no surprise to see Young Thug at the top here, since he had an album bomb on the Hot 100. I don’t like him, I think his voice sucks and I don’t plan on listening to this at all.

Who the heck is Lionel Richie?

I’m sure nobody needs Billie Eilish still in the top 5. I mean, come on people. SHE’S NOT GOOD!

I know I’ve been promising an album review of No.6 Collaborations Project for a while now, and trust me, it’s coming. I’m just busy and I wanted to do Lover first. (Album review out, by the way.)

Alright! Next list! Okay, here we have the Artist 100 which is 100 of the most listened to artists. Here’s the top 10.

#1: Lionel Richie
#2: Billie Eilish
#3: Taylor Swift
#4: Lizzo
#5: Khalid
#6: Ed Sheeran
#7: Post Malone
#8: Young Thug
#9: Shawn Mendes
#10: BTS

Alright, I looked up who Lionel Richie is, and it turns out he’s an old singer/songwriter who just came out with a new album. There ya go!

Props to Taylor Swift for making it to #3 before her album even started charting.

I feel like all of these artists are deserving except for Billie Eilish, Young Thug and BTS. I’m letting Lizzo off the hook because I respect her, even if I don’t like most of her work.

Let’s take a stroll down to the Emerging Artists list to see what the next big names in music might be.

King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard. Allllrighty then.
Not much else to talk about here, except that SHAED’s here, which I’m happy about.

Oh, no.

Well, after that horrifying experience, let’s head on down to the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs.

#1: Truth Hurts - Lizzo
#2: Old Town Road (Remix) - Lil Nas X/Billy Ray Cyrus
#3: Ransom - Lil Tecca
#4: Talk - Khalid
#5: No Guidance - Chris Brown/Drake
#6: Goodbyes - Post Malone/Young Thug
#7: Money In The Grave - Drake/Rick Ross
#8: Sunflower - Post Malone/Swae Lee
#9: Suge - DaBaby
#10: The London - Young Thug/J. Cole/Travis Scott

Apparently, Old Town Road had 20 weeks at #1 here. Ha! Take that, list that everybody cares about! This one’s got you beat!

Truth Hurts is #1. Can’t say I’m surprised, but I’m disappointed in the world for not having better taste.

Congrats to Sunflower for sticking around on these lists for a really long time.

Okay, for our final list, we’re going to the Hot Dance/Electronic songs.

Wait. What? Marshmello? Okay, well unless it’s still- never mind, that’s stupid. He must’ve just released another song.

HOLY CRAP!!! MARSHMELLO YOU CRAZY PERSON!!! How- I don’t even know what to say. This song is 3 weeks away from being on the top of this list for an ENTIRE YEAR!!! I’ll report back to guys if it happens.

Yes, that was pretty much the only reason I made this post, but I mean, come on… I had to do it. I hope you guys enjoyed it and have a great week! I’m taking a break for the rest of the week ‘cause now I’ve posted three times.

Album Review #3: Lover by Taylor Swift

Let’s go! Album review #3! Sorry it’s been a while, but I’ve been busy working on my next project which you can read a beautiful poem about, if you haven’t already. Just keep scrolling. It’s there. So, a few days ago Taylor Swift released this amazing album called Lover. If you care what my opinion is, keep reading. If you don’t, I don’t know why you’re even here. Alright! Let’s start this thing! DISCLAIMER: The rating system is based on the other songs in the album, I just didn’t want to make everything 9/10. Got it? Good.

I Forgot That You Existed

This song is a fantastic opener. In fact, every song here is good (except maybe one), and this is apparently getting Taylor out of the reputation era, and it does a really great job doing that. The beat is great, Taylor sounds amazing and the writing is really good too. My favorite line is: “It isn’t love it isn’t hate it’s just indifference”. Great job Taylor, I’m already hyped for the rest of the album and I’ve heard it 4 times already.
9/10

Cruel Summer
This song reminds me of 1989 Taylor. It’s not bad, but I just like Lover Taylor much better. I’ve ran out of stuff to talk about with this song. The songwriting is pretty good. The beat’s not bad. The bridge is spectacular. I love the line “I love you, isn’t that the worst thing you ever heard?”
8/10

Lover
Hmm… this song disappointed me so much. I just really don’t find it good or interesting. I don’t hate it, I just don’t like it. I feel like the song kind of drags on for a long time. The chorus is okay, but I just really can’t feel this one. I’m sorry guys, I just wish The Archer got pushed instead of this one.
5/10

The Man
The songwriting in this song is probably the best in the whole album. The message is amazing and I think more people should realize that girls can do just as much as us guys. I love how Taylor just has these great messages and people listen to it. It surprises me that this is already hitting it pretty big even though it’s not a single, but good job Taylor. The beat is also great, it’s super catchy and just everything about it is good.
10/10

The Archer
I’m kind of sad Taylor didn’t push this as a single, and it got pushed off of Hits 1 by Lover. This song is just so beautiful. It’s unique and I love it. I heard Taylor perform this live in the Town Hall, and it sounded exactly the same. Which I realize now is the point, but yeah. I really wish this hit it big, and I’m disappointed that radio stations gave up on this.
10/10

I Think He Know
This song is pretty good. The bass is really good in this song and I love that it’s spotlighted in the first verse. I don’t really like how she goes really high in the chorus, but somehow it works with the song. The rest of the song is really good. The bridge isn’t as good as some other bridges here, but it’s not bad.
8/10

Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince
Best song on the album. I LOVE everything about this song. I love how Taylor recorded herself multiple times to get the “Go! Fight! Win!” cheer in the bridge. The chorus here is amazing. The songwriting, putting into a high school is genius. Taylor sounds great in this and just everything about this song. The piano in the chorus is 10/10. Let’s go back to the bridge. I love how emotional this gets. The cheers are great, and that last line literally gives me the chills when it just stops. I love this song and I really want her to release it.
11/10 (I’ve never given this to any song before)

Paper Rings
This is a really close second for me. I love how they did everything retro here. Even the counting before the first is great and fitting. I like the tambourine a lot and that vocal effect that’s on Taylor’s voice. “EH! OH! UH! 1,2,1,2,3,4!” 10/10 backup vocals. *enthusiastic clapping* The bridge is also really good too. (When is it not? It’s Taylor Swift for goodness sake)
10/10

Cornelia Street
This is also a really good one. (Man, we’ve had a pretty good streak) This is how you make a Taylor Swift song. Her voice is great in the chorus and the songwriting is pretty good again. I think she’s got a good thing going here. I have a feeling this song is gonna be released.
9/10

Death By A Thousand Cuts
The guitar in this song is really great. I literally can’t stop jamming to this. The (chimes? I think) sound pretty great. The chorus is great, Taylor sounds great. (Yeah, this is pretty much the entire review just saying everything is good) the bridge is probably the best part of this song. You can really hear the emotion in her voice. I really like this song. Probably not as much as other songs in the album, but it’s still good.
8/10

London Boy
Not sure about the talking in the beginning, but that’s alright, she makes up for it. The chorus is pretty good and I love the “Darlin’ I fancy you” line. Yeah. Not much else to say about this one, (except that the bridge is good, but that’s kind of a given by this point) so let’s just wrap it up!
8/10

Soon You'll Get Better (feat. Dixie Chicks)
*genuinely cries* Aw man, these songs. It’s like Supermarket Flowers by Ed Sheeran. I can’t listen to it without crying. It’s a great song, but it just makes me sad every time I hear it. You can really hear the emotion in Taylor’s voice and I bet it was really hard for her to record it, since it’s about her mom. She’ll never release it, but I really like it. I literally can’t type right now, so I’ll just wrap it up with a 10/10.
10/10

False God
So apparently I’ve heard this song before. I remember the saxophone, but that’s about it. When I heard this song come on, I was like, “False God? Is that even a song on the album?” Yes. It is. All that being said, it’s not bad, it’s just not that memorable. The chorus is pretty good. I forgot what the bridge sounds like, but I bet it’s good. I find it weird how whenever she says “Love” it comes out “Lah” I just listened back to it and there is no bridge. Come on, Taylor.
7/10

You Need To Calm Down
Ah, yes. The song that everybody hates for no apparent reason. It’s a really good song guys, just accept that fact! The beat-thing-weird-I-don’t-really-know-what-to-call-it at the beginning sounds really good. Taylor sounds straight-up amazing in the chorus and I just really love it as a whole. I’d really like to see it hit #1 on the countdown. It’s getting there, just not yet.
9/10

Afterglow
BASS DRUM! Not a bad song, actually. Taylor sounds really good in the chorus and it’s really catchy. I love the vibe of this song, and it fits the album really well. So far, this has been a really good album and I’m so happy it lived up to my expectations.
9/10

ME! (feat. Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco)
So, I actually bought the album off of iTunes, and I had bought this song previously when it was a single, but now this song is just gone, so I’m reviewing it without hearing it, but it’s okay ‘cause I’ve heard it a lot. Yes, this is the song that should’ve been bigger. But because of one line, it wasn’t. Taylor and Brendon have great chemistry here and It’s just a lot of fun and I don’t know why it wasn’t bigger than it is.
10/10

It's Nice To Have A Friend
I don’t actually really like the vibe of the song or the backup vocals that much. It’s not bad, I get what the appeal might be, but I’m just really not feeling it. It feels really slow for me. There's really not much to it. The trumpet feels really out of place, and I don’t know. I’m just not feeling this one.
6/10

Daylight
For the album closer, it’s really good. I’m not exactly sure it would do so well as a single, but it seems that’s what’s gonna happen. Taylor’s voice sounds great, and I love a pretty song like this from her. Overall, just a really solid song and a great way to end the album. With a great bridge. ;)
8/10

Final Words
This is probably the best Taylor Swift album ever. I’d love to see her do more like this, but since she does a different style every album, that’s probably not gonna happen. I’d just like to end with these words.
“I wanna be defined by the things that I love. Not the things I hate. Not the things I’m afraid of. Or the things that haunt me in the middle of the night. I, I just think that you are what you love”
-Taylor Swift 2019

Week of August 24, 2019 - Shawn Mendes (7)

Shawn Mendes (7)

There’s only 1 bad song in Hit-Bound. That’s when you know it’s a good week. We still have the same boring #1, but we have a surprising biggest jump. Here I would endorse my rankdown, but in case you haven’t noticed, it died a silent death. But that’s okay! Because I have a super cool new thing happening! If you want to know more about it, check out the first part of my beautiful poem. Check it out right below this post. Album review #3 coming soon!

...Edit: Future Beluga here. This was the fateful week when Adrian Carrazco posted his last countdown post before his resignation. He was a great inspiration to all of us, and started this entire thing. So props to him, just for existing. Okay, on with the old countdown that aired nearly a year ago!

Last Year’s #1: The Last Of The Real Ones - Fall Out Boy [1/3 weeks at #1]

We got 2 debuts this week. Our first is Look What God Gave Her by Thomas Rhett. I don’t normally like country music, but this is really good. It’s got a pop beat, so that’s probably one of the reasons, but I just find it really good. The song is super catchy and I constantly find it stuck in my head. His voice sounds great and the songwriting is really great. This is just a really sweet song that I’d love to see do well.

Coming in at #32, we have All the Time by Zara Larsson. I find this song really annoying. I don’t know, maybe I’m crazy because I know this is an unpopular opinion (which I almost always have), but I just hate the weird voice in “From the breaking of the day to the middle of the night”. I just find the song too catchy, really annoying and I don’t really like her voice.

Best Debut: Look What God Gave Her - Thomas Rhett

Biggest DROP!!!: Here With Me - Marshmello/CHVRCHES & Make You Mine - PUBLIC (-11): Well, for Here With Me, I’m glad it had that #5 peak, but this was about due. For Make You Mine, I didn’t expect it to hit top 20 anyways, so I don’t really care.

Biggest Jump: With You - Meghan Trainor/Kaskade (+17): Well, this was unexpected. As soon as With You seemed to be on its way out, it jumps back into the top 30. I really don’t care since this song is really mediocre, but I guess it kind of makes sense because it’s gaining at least some traction. That being said, it’s already off of the voting poll, so we’ll see how this goes.

My Top 5 Picks
#5: I Don’t Care - Ed Sheeran/Justin Bieber
#4: You Need To Calm Down - Taylor Swift

Harder - Jax Jones/Bebe Rexha [5]
Good As Hell - Lizzo [3]
Teeth - 5 Seconds of Summer [1]
boyfriend - Ariana Grande/Social House [3]
How Do You Sleep? - Sam Smith [5]

Beautiful People - Ed Sheeran/Khalid [4]
The Hype - Twenty One Pilots [3]
Lover - Taylor Swift [2]
3 Nights - Dominic Fike [7]
Only Human - Jonas Brothers [7]
Dream Boy - Waterparks [2]

Our first Hit-Bound entrant is Teeth by 5 Seconds of Summer. I love the rock vibe that this song gives off and it’s really catchy. The guitar here sounds so great. The bridge just really gets you hyped for the last chorus, which was kind of a disappointment, but the outro makes up for it.

Aw, man. I love me some good Charlie Puth. I Warned Myself is his strongest single yet. I love the new vibe this song is giving off and it just sounds so good. His voice is amazing, as it always is. I really hope this debuts next week.

Best Hit-Bound Entrant: I Warned Myself - Charlie Puth (Not by that much)

#3: Beautiful People - Ed Sheeran/Khalid
#2: I Warned Myself - Charlie Puth
#1: The Hype - Twenty One Pilots

Look What Blurbs Gave Her

We lost 2 songs this week. Don’t Give Up On Me and Hustle. For Don’t Give Up On Me, I really like it and I feel like it’ll stick with me even if it didn’t on Hits 1. For Hustle, I don’t care since it wasn’t a single and wasn’t actually that good.

Why is High Hopes still here? I mean, it’s well over its one-year anniversary.

Find U Again is dropping surprisingly. I mean, it stayed on Hit-Bound for too long and missed its peak on radio, so that’s probably why.

I’m so happy Trampoline is jumping. It deserves all the success it has.

The Hype, debut. Now.

Can we not get Look Away into the top 20? That would be much appreciated.

Yessss Goodbyes is finally in the top 20!!!

You know, Sucker is actually growing back on me. Probably because it’s not at #1 anymore.

Well, I Don’t Care is back in the top 10. Yay.

Señorita and You Need To Calm Down are both in the top 5. I’m really happy for both. They’re both great.

Why is If I Can’t Have You still at #1? Wait. How many #1s have we had this year? Let’s see… This Feeling, Without Me, Hey Look Ma, I Made It, Sucker, Who Do You Love and this. 6. 8 months, 6 #1s. That’s just sad.

You know how sometimes Hits 1 picks up YouTube 15 songs? Antisocial. Please.

Last Year’s #1: High Hopes - Panic! At The Disco [2/8 weeks at #1]

Countdown Extra: The Hype - Twenty One Pilots

Our only debut this week is Small Talk by Katy Perry. I expected this to debut after just 1 week, and since I talked about it a lot last week, I'll keep it brief. I like the song. A lot. I didn't have high expectations but it surprised me and it's overall just a really solid song.

Biggest DROP!!!: Truth Hurts - Lizzo (-20): YES!!! Good As Hell did it! I'm actually so happy this song is flopping. It shouldn't even exist. It sucks in every way and GAH is so much better.

Biggest Jump: Mother’s Daughter (+19): I like this song. I'm kind of happy it's in the top 20 and I can see it being a hit here even though it flopped everywhere else. Good jump.

Jesus In LA - Alec Benjamin [2]
Lover - Taylor Swift [1]
boyfriend - Ariana Grande/Social House [2]
Look What God Gave Her - Thomas Rhett [6]
How Do You Sleep? - Sam Smith [4]

Our first new song is kind of random. It's Dream Boy by Waterparks. I kind of like this song, but I haven't heard it that much, so I don't have a great opinion, but I think it's pretty good and the singer kind of sounds like Owl City. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

I was debating whether to put this next song in green or blue, and ultimately Lover by Taylor Swift ended up in blue for one reason. It's not that catchy. I don't know, I just don't find it as good as the other three. It will definitely grow on me though, and it will probably debut next week.

Blurb Talk

We lost Walk Me Home this week. I'm kind of sad, but I'm happy it got that #3 peak, even if it didn't last long.

We probably lost The Archer for good, since it wasn't being pushed as a single, and then Lover came out. Maybe it'll debut next week, who knows.

Don't Give Up On Me sadly fell to #40. You will be remembered.

I find it surprising that all 6 songs that debuted last week jumped, even if Trampoline only jumped 1 spot.

Despite Old Town Road being probably the biggest song ever, it flops on the countdown. I mean, it's not pop music, but still.

So Make You Mine’s in the top 20… How?

Expectedly, If We Have Each Other dropped hard out of the top 10. But it will always have the #3 peak.

Nightmare fell. Yay.

Love Me Less is somehow in the top 10. Again, how?

And despite Cool losing traction everywhere, it enters the top 5. *sigh*

Week of August 10, 2019 - Shawn Mendes (5)

Shawn Mendes (5)

The reason this is out late is because I had to do it all from my phone. And I had to review 12 different songs. And listen to the countdown. All while being in London, England on vacation. That being said, it is an interesting countdown. We had 6 debuts both on the countdown and Hit-Bound, and 2 surprising top 5 entrants. Enjoy.

Countdown Extra: Small Talk - Katy Perry

Ayyyyyy! Six debuts! Our first, though, isn't that good. It's One Thought Away by Asher Angel. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with this song, there's just not much to talk about. So yeah, not great.

Our next debut is Mother’s Daughter by Miley Cyrus. This has already kind of flopped, but I still want it to become a hit. This song has a great beat, great vocals and it's super catchy. Great direction for Miley. Keep going.

For our third debut, we have a really good song by SHAED, Trampoline. I love this song because it's so different. It sounds so cool and the vocals are pretty good too. Great song, hope it does well.

Immediately after, we have Find U Again by Mark Ronson and Camila Cabello. The vocals here are really good, and I love the key change in the “Tears in your eyes” line. The production here is great. Personally, I don't think it's as good as Nothing Breaks Like a Heart, but that's alright.

Immediately after that we have Look Away by Stephen Puth. This song isn't as strong as the last three. I just can't really get into it. It's catchy and all, but I feel like it was pushed too hard by Hits 1 for a mediocre song. I just don't think this will do too well.

At #32 with our highest debut is Rescue Me by OneRepublic. I love this song. OneRepublic is one of my favourite bands, and Ryan Tedder's vocals are amazing. This song is super catchy and should become a hit.

Best Debut: Trampoline - SHAED

Biggest DROP!!!: With You - Kaskade/Meghan Trainor & So Am I - Ava Max (-16): Overall, I'm happy both songs dropped. With You was never a hit, so it doesn't really matter, and So Am I never should've made it into the top 20, let alone #7. So, good.

Biggest Jump: If We Have Each Other - Alec Benjamin (+18): Uh, I guess this is at #3 now. I'm totally okay with it, I'm just confused how it got there. Well, I don't think this will stick around for long.

My Top 5 Picks
#5: Rescue Me - OneRepublic
#4: Goodbyes - Post Malone
#3: Don't Give Up On Me - Andy Grammer
#2: 100 Bad Days - AJR
#1: Trampoline - SHAED

Good as Hell - Lizzo [1]

Our first new Hit-Bound song is yet another Panic! At The Disco song. Roaring 20s. It's nowhere near the best song on the album, but it was a really good album. I love the Broadway vibe it's giving off and you can really tell he spent some time there. The horns work surprisingly well with the song and the chorus is downright amazing. Hope this debuts. (It definitely will. A Panic! song would never slip past Hits 1)

I have to say, when I saw that Twenty One Pilots had a new song, I was pretty hyped. The Hype was not a disappointment. I like the feel-good vibe of this song, compared to Trench, and I hope this song makes it big, because Trench was kind of a flop. My only criticism with this is that it's 4 minutes long, but that's expected from Twenty One Pilots these days. So yeah, definitely worth the hype.

Our next song is Jesus In LA by Alec Benjamin. This song is pretty good. It's definitely better than Let Me Down Slowly, but not as good as If We Have Each Other. I have a feeling you guys won't like it, but the bridge is good, you have to admit it. Also, it will be a hit. (Yeah, not much to talk about.) :/

After Never Really Over, I didn't have much expectations for Katy Perry’s next single, Small Talk. But, consider me surprised because I find this song really really good. It's so catchy and Katy sounds great. Also, it's not produced by Zedd, so that's good. It really takes me back to the Teenage Dream Katy Perry. Definitely one of my favourite songs of the year. Fun fact: Charlie Puth.

Mmmmmmmgh!!!!! Why, Ariana!!! Stop making music!!! Take a break and rethink the direction you're going! I just really don't like Ariana Grande. boyfriend is too catchy and just sucks. Also, Social House adds nothing to the song.

Um…. I like a song by Lizzo. Shoot. But in all honesty, Good as Hell is nowhere near Truth Hurts. The piano here sounds really good, and her voice is actually not bad. I really like the chorus, and overall just a spectacular song that should become a hit. Also, that long note. Perfection.

One Blurb Away

We lost 6 songs this week. I liked Chlorine, but it was old. I never really liked Dancing With A Stranger, so goodbye. I'm happy with the amount of success that Close To Me got. I stopped caring about mama’s house as soon as it debuted. I don't really care about Bazzi that much, so I was fine to see Paradise go, but Summer Days??? That song should have gotten so much more success.

I'm happy Sweet but Psycho dropped to #44. That song did not deserve that #2 peak.

Every time I sit here and type ME! with a peak of #2, I cry. I cannot stress this enough.

Geez, Goodbyes is flopping hard. Yikes.

Here With Me left the top 20. I feel like this was probably due since it wasn't a hit, and I'm happy with that #5 peak.

For some reason Make You Mine just hit #24. Not sure why, but I'll take it.

100 Bad Days jumped into the top 20. I’m not sure how, since no one likes AJR, but whatever.

You Need To Calm Down fell hard out of the top 10 entirely. Sucks.

Why do we have to let Truth Hurts into the top 10? I mean, come on people.

For some reason Easier is sitting at #5. Again, not sure how it got there, but that's okay.

Last Year's #1: Believer - Imagine Dragons [2]

We got 2 new entrants this week. Our first is Summer On You by PRETTYMUCH. This song flopped. I like it though. You can really tell that Ed Sheeran wrote it and I find it really catchy and I like their voices.

This next song did pretty well. It’s broken by lovelytheband. My first impression of this song was pretty good, but then I felt it got pretty overplayed and I lost interest in it. It’s a pretty good song nevertheless, and I’m glad it did well in retrospect.

Best Debut: Summer On You - PRETTYMUCH

Biggest DROP!!!: Colour - MNEK/Hailee Steinfeld (-17): I really like this song and it was one of my top 10 of 2018. I’m really sad it didn’t do well. Oh, well.

Biggest Jump: Love Lies - Khalid/Normani (+22): I remember, this song stayed at #17 for like 2 months. I like this song though. I feel like it was kind of underrated on radio. Even though Hits 1 played it to death. I am happy, however that Natural hit #1 instead of this.

Nevermind - Dennis Lloyd

We got 3 Hit-Bound songs this week because of Side Effects which managed to debut next week. Our first was a really strange song called Go Bang by PNAU. This song managed to debut and flop and I’m really confused why. This song is just really strange.

The next was another collaboration from DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper and Quavo by the name of No Brainer. This was the first single from Khaled’s album Father of Ashad, and it was a pretty weak one. It just isn’t that interesting.

Finally, a song that never debuted, Team by MAX and Noah Cyrus. This song is great and deserved to be a hit. I don’t know why it wasn’t. It’s a perfectly good song like If You’re Over Me and All Night and they just didn’t hit it big unfortunately.

Summer On Blurbs

We lost 2 songs from this week. Rich by Maren Morris and Too Good by Jordan McGraw. Rich was horrible and never should’ve debuted, and Too Good was a forgettable song from a forgettable artist.

Jumpsuit sucks and I’m happy it dropped.

Too bad Growing Pains didn’t get as much success as it deserved.

Thank goodness IDGAF left the top 20.

I’m happy Natural made it into the top 20.

Don’t Go Breaking My Heart should not be in the top 10.

And our #1 was Delicate. This song was kind of boring and forgettable. idk I just didn’t really like it that much.

Last Year’s #1: Delicate - Taylor Swift [3/3 weeks at #1]

Our only debut this week is 100 Bad Days by AJR. I still don’t get why everybody hates AJR. I actually really like them and 100 Bad Days is a good representation of why. Jack Met’s voice is pretty good and the song itself is really catchy. And for all those haters, this is going in purple.

Biggest DROP!!!: Someone You Loved - Lewis Capaldi (-11): Happy? You guys let a perfectly good song fall off of a #4 peak only to then start dropping even more.

Biggest Jump: You Need To Calm Down - Taylor Swift (+13): Well, okay. I will definitely take this song at #4. I still think ME! is better, but whatever.

My Top 5 Picks
#5: Make You Mine - PUBLIC

All the Time - Zara Larsson [3]

Well, we got 2 new Hit-Bound songs this week. Our first is the third single from Taylor Swift’s new album, Lover. The Archer is different from like every song here and that’s why I like it so much. I think Taylor has a weird vocal effect on her voice, but that’s alright. Overall, pretty good song.

Apparently, BLOW wasn’t good enough, so we get Beautiful People by Ed Sheeran and Khalid instead. I like both songs, and I like Beautiful People a lot. I never thought they would, but Ed and Khalid sound really good together. I love that moment when Khalid says “LA” and the track just stops. Gives me chills every time. I love it.

Best Debut: Beautiful People - Ed Sheeran/Khalid

100 Bad Blurbs (Don’t worry, I’m not doing 100 blurbs like I did when 7 rings debuted)

Speaking of 7 rings, it’s finally gone! This song was horrible and has a very good shot at making my #1 worst song of 2019. Aside from maybe Harry by Kelsy Karter.

We lost 3 Hit-Bound songs this week. Cross Me, La La Land and BLOW. Cross Me was never gonna debut in the first place so whatever. La La Land was pretty good, but it didn’t really make an impression on radio. And finally, BLOW. *sigh* Apparently, Hits 1 realized that BLOW wasn’t being pushed as a single, so they replaced it with Beautiful People. I really liked BLOW and I’m sad to see it go.

A million songs left the voting poll recently, including Chlorine, mama’s house, High Hopes, This Feeling, Hustle, Sweet but Psycho, ME!, Without Me, Let Me Down Slowly, With You, Don’t Give Up On Me and So Am I. So there you go. Oh, Walk Me Home, Paradise, Summer Days and Speechless are also gone.

Alright, so Make You Mine grew on me a lot. It’s a pretty good song, so yeah.

Apparently, Don’t Give Up On Me wasn’t good enough for the top 20 or something. Screw Hits 1.

Call You Mine is doing decent. That’s good. (I’m really trying to get this post out. I didn’t even listen to the countdown)

Apparently Love Me Less is a hit now. Personally, I’ll take it.

And apparently Señorita isn’t. Shame.

Whoever let bad guy, Cool and So Am I into the top 10 needs to be punished.

And If I Can’t Have You hit #1 for one more week before You Need To Calm Down does. Alright. It’s better than our #2.
