Last Year’s #1: Natural - Imagine Dragons [1/1 week at #1]

Countdown Extra: Monster Mash - Bobby ‘Boris’ Pickett & Ghostbusters - Ray Parker Jr.

I really turned around on our first debut here, Dance Monkey by Tones and I. Yeah, sure her voice kind of sucks, but it’s unique and actually has something to it that I really like. However, I think if you locked me in a room and played this for 2 hours straight, I would probably die. But anyways, the production is really good and yeah! I just like this song a lot. *3 weeks in Hit-Bound, 4 weeks on voting poll

Dear Winter by AJR is definitely their worst song. It’s so boring. Jack has no emotion in his voice, even though it’s a song about his daughter. He sounds horrible in the high parts and the songwriting is just terrible. I mean, go check the lyrics for yourself if you want to know, because there’s too much of it for me to show you guys. Alright! That is all!

Best Debut: Dance Monkey - Tones and I

Biggest DROP!!!: Goodbyes - Post Malone (-27): Oof. I kind of wish this song did better, but I’ve learned to stop expecting stuff from Hits 1 because they don’t listen to you.

Biggest Jump: Beautiful People - Ed Sheeran/Khalid (+15): What the actual heck just happened. You know, I kind of wanted to talk about this in the blurbs, but I guess I’m doing this now. Beautiful People went 16 to 1 in one week. I am super okay with this, I’m just confused because it had the biggest drop last week, but whatever. I’m not complaining.

Oh my gosh, I’ve been waiting so long for Ed to release South of the Border with Camila Cabello and Cardi B. I absolutely love the vibe this one gives off it works really well with Camila’s voice. The beat is really good and works with the song. Even Cardi’s verse is pretty good. Now, the lyrical content is… um, questionable. There’s some weird spanish parts and let me translate them for you: “I love you mommy” which is just weird and the longer part is: “Come here I want to dance, take my hand I want to feel your body in me, you're shaking” Okay! Next!

Alright, for our last Hit-Bound debut, we have Wanted by OneRepublic. This song is really mediocre. I mean, it’s alright. There’s really nothing bad about it. The songwriting is on point, (courtesy of Ryan Tedder) but other than that, the production’s kind of lacklustre and the vocals could be better. Yeah, not a great song.

Blurb Monkey

We lost ME! and Jesus In LA this week. I’m really sad that Sucker blocked out ME! to ever hit #1 because I think it deserved it, and Jesus In LA was always just meh, so whatever.

bad guy is holding the bottom spot which I’m very happy about.

Glad to see Hits 1 realizing that Roaring 20s is not a single.

Time jumped!

Not sure why Stack It Up is in the top 30, but whatever.

Teeth is very close to the top 20.

#15-#11

Someone You Loved fell off of #1 which kind of sucks, but it’s replacement is better.

Truth Hurts is sitting at a dangerous #2.

I feel like I should probably say something here, but I don’t know what to say. Goodbye!

Oh yeah! We lost a couple of Hit-Bound songs this week, neither of which very good. We lost Kill My Mind by Louis Tomlinson and WHO DO U LOVE? by Monsta X and French Montana. OOF to Louis, having released two Hit-Bound dropouts this year so far. For WHO DO U LOVE?, meh.
