Last Year's #1: We're Good - Dua Lipa [1/2 weeks at #1]

Countdown Extra: Sunshine - Latto/Lil Wayne/Childish Gambino

Our first debut, at #30 this week, is The Kid LAROI's newest single (and first in 2022), Thousand Miles. I've liked pretty much everything that The Kid LAROI has put out so far. I can definitely see how some people would find his voice annoying, but I personally like it. I don't know why, I just think it's really unique, and fits his style really nicely. This song's definitely a lot less immediately catchy than his last few songs, but I think it's just as good. The melodies here, especially during the chorus, are very well-done, even if the song isn't all that catchy. Solid pre-chorus too. The production here is great, I like the mix of piano and guitar along with the trap beat. I think it all works really well together. I'm, like, 99% sure that this won't be as big as WITHOUT YOU or STAY, but I don't mind too much, because that means that it won't get overplayed, and I can just continue to enjoy this one. Very solid song, I'd love to see it do well here.

For our second and final debut of the week, we have Leah Kate, who's been announced as our newest Hits One to Watch, with her song 10 Things I Hate About You. The first thing I heard from her was F U Anthem, which was a mess in every sense of the word, so I wasn't too sold on Leah Kate as a whole. As for this one, though, it's much better. One of my biggest issues with F U Anthem was that the mixing was atrocious, and while that's still somewhat of an issue here, it's much less of one. Leah Kate sounds good here, the pop-punk production fits nicely, although I wish I could hear some of the background guitar stuff more, because it's pretty well-done. The writing in the chorus is kinda clever, with the whole counting thing, and although some of the lines are definitely a little cringey, I think "1, I hate the fact that you made me love you" is enough of a payoff to make up for the weaker lines. Easily the best line here though is right before the second chorus, "And I've got a list of why you don't get to f*** me". Honestly, I think it's even better censored, because it makes the whole thing that much more funny. So yeah, overall, this song has its flaws, but it's much more enjoyable than our last One to Watch, so I'll happily take it.

Best Debut: Thousand Miles - The Kid LAROI

Biggest Drop: Love It When You Hate Me - Avril Lavigne/blackbear (-9): I figured this was coming eventually, because it was started to fade everywhere else, but given how much Hits 1 loves both Avril and blackbear, I had my doubts. I'm definitely surprised it made it all the way up to #3, though.

Biggest Jump: As It Was - Harry Styles (+19): I mean... it was only a matter of time. I'm not particularly mad that this is all the way up here, because it's a solid song. I kinda wish it would hold off just for a bit, so we can maybe get an Em Beihold or Megan Thee Stallion #1, but I'm sure that's not gonna happen, so I've accepted it. Considering this is Harry's biggest song yet, I'm sure it'll be #1 for a very long time here. Enjoy, folks.

Hype sucks. When an artist announces something way ahead of the release date, it just build up your expectations of the song, because you have to wait for it. Then, most of the time, it just wasn't worth the wait. This new Ava Max song, Maybe You're The Problem was announced a long time ago, and naturally, I was pretty excited when I heard it was coming, because Ava has a pretty great track record of making bops. And BOY did it actually live up to the hype. In fact, it surpassed the hype. I would honestly say that this is the best Ava Max song that I've heard. The second I heard that intro, I was immediately hooked, and knew I was in for something special, which isn't a common thing with new songs. It's so stupidly catchy, and I've had trouble getting out of my head this past week. That chorus is nothing short of masterful. Then, you have Ava's great voice, on top of a very well-done synth-driven track. Seriously, the production is so good on this one. It's super dancy, the song has nice momentum that never really drops, and the riff in the post-chorus is fantastic. I'm not so sure I'm a huge fan of the bridge yet, but I'm sure it'll grow on me. It certainly doesn't ruin the song. Overall, this is an amazing song, and I'd love to see it do well here. Great job, Ava, you did it again.

Next, we have a new Khalid song called Skyline. I've generally been a fan of Khalid, because I think he has a great voice, and can pull off a bunch of different styles. It seems like he's kind of going for a Song of the Summer thing here, and while I don't think he entirely pulled it off, it's still an enjoyable song. The bassline is super groovy, and the chorus is really catchy too, but I don't know. Something about Khalid's voice doesn't really fit here. Obviously, there's the super weird intro that's painful to listen to, but other than that, I can't really understand what he's saying most of the time. It doesn't bother me all that much, and I think he executes the song fine, I just also think it could've been much better if someone else recorded it.

Ayy, Sam Smith is back! It's been a while since they've brought us a single, with their last big one being Diamonds from 2020. I remember, actually, that song dropped the same day as Holy by Justin Bieber, and I really enjoyed both. Anyways, Sam has flip-flopped a lot between upbeat songs and slower songs lately, and with this new one, Love Me More, they really seem to be trying to find a middle. Because the tempo itself is kind of upbeat, but the song's also really chill. I think they pulled it off really well, too. I enjoy this one probably more than I should, because it has obvious flaws, but I don't mind too much. I think the song evolves nicely enough to keep me interested, and Sam sounds great throughout, too. I like the melodies here, although the chorus kinda sneaks up on me, and it's a little hard to tell that you're in the chorus when you're in it. Good song, I'd love to see it do well, although it probably won't.

...aaaand to kill our good streak of songs, we have none other than the aforementioned Justin Bieber. Funny how Sam and Justin dropped on the same day twice now. Anyways, for our final Hit-Bound debut, he teams up with Don Toliver on a song called Honest, and if you remember the last time they collaborated, they brought us Don't Go with Skrillex, which was a really messy and pretty bad song. And this song sounds pretty much identical. I'm pretty sure it even has the same chords (or at least very similar ones). The production is super weird here, and feels generally very clunky. The chorus is strange, and honestly sounds improvised. Justin doesn't sound that good here either, and doesn't really fit with the vibe of the song. Honestly, I'm surprised to say this, but the only saving grace of this song is Don Toliver. He fits much better here than Justin does, and I honestly kinda like his verse. But, yeah, I still don't want this to be a hit.

Ha. You thought I was done. Nope! We've got a song in the Abyss that I've never talked about before. Just a Cloud Away by Pharrell Williams. From *sighs* the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack. Yup. You heard me right. The movie from 2013. This song is nine years old. It came from the same soundtrack as Happy. I remember this song, and it's probably been six or seven years since I'd have a good reason to. Take a wild guess where this came from. Did you guess TikTok? Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. Enough of the clowning, though. In all honesty, this song isn't bad. Pharrell sounds good throughout, the song is pretty catchy, and the vibe is nice and chill. It's definitely not as upbeat as Happy, and I wouldn't expect it to be, because it WASn't the SINgle. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. Overall, good song? Yes. Should this be on radio? Absolutely not.

As for dropouts, we say goodbye to Riptide, HANDSOMER and Speakers. Riptide was great, so I'm really sad that it only spent a week here. It deserved more. Speakers was alright, but I didn't really expect it to debut. As for HANDSOMER, it's my least favourite of the songs that left, and it's the one that moved into the Abyss... great. I doubt this will debut, but we'll see. Hits 1 likes to throw curveballs sometimes.

10 Things I Bluuuuuurb Aaaaabouuuuuut Youuuuuu

Our Countdown exits this week were When I'm Gone and Dancing Feet. I got really bored of When I'm Gone really quickly, so I'm not disappointed at all that it's gone. As for Dancing Feet, I know it was fading on radio, but it shouldn't have. It especially shouldn't have dropped out at #7. It's in the Abyss for now, but we'll see how much longer this lasts.

Looks like Overpass Graffiti is probably on its last week here. I'm okay with that, even though the song hasn't stopped growing on me.

Um... nobody gonna question why Sunroof jumped eight spots? No? We're just rolling with it and moving on? Ok then.

Freaky Deaky is up at #17, which is great to see. I'd love to see this do well here.

Bones jumped to #16 on its second week here, which I think bodes well. Who knows? Maybe this will hit #1 too.

Another song that got an eight-spot jump this week was Out of Time. I've been with this song since January pretty much, so it's less new to me now than it probably is for most people, but I'm still glad to see it doing well.

Oh yeah! Ed Sheeran decided to make a remix of his newest single, 2step, and who did he choose to be on it? Lil Baby. Yup. That was a choice. But honestly? It makes the song so much better. I actually really like Lil Baby's verse here, and it makes the song feel so much more fresh and new. Another positive on top of that is that this means we'll probably get a Lil Baby #1 on the Weekend Countdown sometime in the future.

Boyfriend is all the way up at #6, and the song's started to fade on me, so... meh.

For whatever reason, Sweetest Pie jumped all the way up to #2. I'll take it, I guess. I'm still not loving the song, though.

Week of April 23, 2022 - Imagine Dragons/JID (4)

Hey, all! I'm so sorry for having this post out so late again, I swear I'm trying, but I'm busy almost every night now. No worries, though! It's here now, and if you guys don't mind having the posts out a week late, then we're fine. Something exciting that happened over the past couple weeks is that I finally got to go to my first concert since before COVID, and it just so happened to be my favourite artist of all time, Imagine Dragons! Which just made it 10x better. The show was electric, and I loved every single second of it. Can't wait until I get to see them again, and I'll never forget it. I'm looking forward that much more to when I get to see Twenty One Pilots in the summer. Anyways, this week Countdown-wise was quite good, there's the obvious reason, and then there's a few more great things that happened too. Let's get into it!

Countdown Extra: That's Hilarious - Charlie Puth

So our first debut of the week is a song that for whatever reason debuted at #1 on the Hot 100, First Class by Jack Harlow. This is now Jack's third song on the Countdown after WHATS POPPIN and INDUSTRY BABY. And yeah, this is definitely my least favourite of the three. Jack Harlow isn't the most charismatic rapper, and that fact becomes really obvious when he's solo on a song. The part that showcases this the most is when the sample goes "Are you ready?" super excitedly, and he responds with a super bland "yes I am". But then, Jack launches into one of the best verses I've heard from him. The way that verse flows is just so good, I love it every single time I hear it. The hook is pretty memorable, the Fergie sample is used really creatively, and the production is nice and chill, staying with a mild trap beat and some light piano. So I guess it kinda works with Jack's voice here, but I'd still rather he sound more interested in his own song. But, like, overall, it's still an enjoyable listen, even though it has obvious issues. I'm alright with this being here for now.

Next up, we have a brand-new song from Lauv, All 4 Nothing (I'm So In Love). This one's faded on me a bit since it debuted on Hit-Bound a couple weeks ago, but I still like it. Lauv sounds good (even if I can't understand what he's saying 90% of the time), and the hook is pretty catchy. The production's nice and groovy, and it moves the song along nicely. Definitely a job well done there. Now you're probably wondering, "why don't you find it great then? It seems like you really like the song". And I do. But I also don't remember it whatsoever once I'm not listening to the song. It's so ridiculously forgettable, that I almost never think about it unless I'm listening to it. So it's not something I'm gonna end up going back to, because I'm not able to remember that it exists. Will this grow back on me? Probably, but we'll see.

Next up, we've got the return of Lizzo with a groovy bop, About Damn Time. If you've heard any of Lizzo's stuff, if I told you it was a disco-inspired Lizzo song, you could probably guess what it sounds like. It's nothing particularly new for Lizzo, but that's far from a bad thing. She sounds great throughout, the production is so groovy, and the chorus is really memorable and fun. Between this and Rumors, I'm starting to get pretty excited for this new album. I have no doubts that this will do well on pop radio, and I hope it does.

Something that I definitely didn't expect but I'm very happy about, is that Imagine Dragons' new single from their upcoming album Mercury - Act 2, Bones, debuted all the way up at #18 this week. Um... alright, I'll take it. Yeah, so I heard this one live, they played it right after Enemy, and it was fantastic. It's a great arena song, and you can tell it was made with that in mind. Anyways, now for the actual song. This definitely isn't my favourite Imagine Dragons song, but it's still amazing, and I really enjoy it. Dan sounds really great throughout, as he usually does, except for when the vocal-pitch thing happens in the pre-chorus. But that doesn't bother me as much as it did when it first released, I got used to it. The song is extremely cool sonically. It's very atmospheric, and the production plays a huge role in that. The chorus is really good, and pretty catchy, and the verses (especially the second one) also mesh really well with the rest of the song and move it forward nicely. The bridge is pretty cool, I like how it comes way down before building up again for the last chorus. Also, the outro is just fantastic. It's really punchy, and I like it a lot. I could definitely see this becoming a hit if the label ever decides to push it as a single.

Best Debut: Bones - Imagine Dragons

Biggest Drop: When I'm Gone - Alesso/Katy Perry (-10): Yeah, this one definitely faded on me, so I'm totally fine with the fact that it's on its way out. Actually, I find it kinda funny how quickly this peaked at #2, then flopped immediately.

Biggest Jump: 2step - Ed Sheeran (+12): Alright, I'm fine with this, considering this is actually gonna be the next single. I'd be more fine with this if it was the Lil Baby remix, but Hits 1 has played it a few times, so I feel that coming next week.

So for our first Hit-Bound debut of the week, we have a brand-new single from The Chainsmokers, with this one being called Riptide. I think I genuinely really like this song. We've already gotten two tastes of their newest album, as they've given us High and iPad, which were both pretty good, but honestly, I think this might be my favourite. Andrew Taggart actually sounds pretty good here, and I'd say this one of his best vocal performances. The song's more chill than the rest of their songs, but it kinda works with the production here. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the drop, it's kinda weird, but it might grow on me in the future, we'll see. I don't think it really stops me from thinking this song is great, however. I really hope this sticks around for a while here and Hits 1 gives it a push, because it's a great song.

Guys. Stop putting WILLOW on bad songs. I want to like her music, I really do, but I can't if you keep having her feature on awful songs. Anyways, this week, we see PinkPantheress and WILLOW collaborate on a song called Where you are. This song is... very weird. PinkPantheress' voice is kinda shrill, and I don't like it whatsoever. The production is really strange, and it's kind of unsettling and a little hard to listen to. The chorus isn't bad, but PinkPantheress and WILLOW's voices don't mesh very well together. That being said, WILLOW is still the only saving grace of this song. Please, I just want one song from her that I can just love.

Next up we have Swedes Alesso and Zara Larsson teaming up on a new song, Words. I want to like this song, I think Zara Larsson is a really good singer, and when she's used correctly, she can really elevate a song. And she does really well here. Her voice sounds really good, and the song is super catchy. But Alesso was not the person to produce this. I don't think he did badly here, in fact, I definitely don't mind the production, but I think this song would've been much better if it wasn't an EDM song. I'm not sure if a more lucious feel or if a poppier feel would've been better, but EDM wasn't it. Still not bad, though.

After really blowing up last year, The Kid LAROI has brought us his first pop single of 2022 with this new one, Thousand Miles. I've generally enjoyed LAROI's music, in fact (spoiler alert) all three of his singles from last year are gonna pop up on my best list this year (I swear that's coming. Life has been hectic [in a good way, don't worry]). As for this one, I think it's pretty good. It's definitely far from the best thing I've heard from him, but I really enjoy it. The melodies here are simply genius, especially the chorus. I can't even describe what I feel from the chorus' melody. It's just something else entirely. I personally like LAROI's voice, and I think it fits really well here. Good writing, too. Overall, just a great song that I'd love to see become a hit.

After breaking out this year with her smash hit, Big Energy, Latto returns this week with another single, Sunshine featuring Lil Wayne and Childish Gambino (or, as I know him, actor Donald Glover). I've really been enjoying Big Energy lately, and I find it super cool how much it's blown up on radio. As for this one, I'd say it's right on par. The hook in this one is a lot more melodic, which is good, even though I really don't mind either way. Everybody here delivers really solid verses. Latto's is fantastic, Lil Wayne's is great for the fact that he's Lil Wayne, and Childish Gambino's is great. It's kinda funny to see him back on Hits 1 after Redbone from a while ago, because that song was so unique, that I never expected him to get another song on Hits 1. But here we are, and I'm very happy that this is here. Overall, a very solid song, and I'm really glad that Hits 1 has decided to push it.

Get Into It (Yuh) is back, but only in the Abyss. This has officially been released as a single, and it's a solid song, so I'm glad it's back. I'd be totally fine with this one debuting.

As for the songs leaving Hit-Bound, we have In My Head, Hot Crush Lover, Fair and I Can't Help But Feel. In My Head was fantastic, so I'm really sad that it never really became a hit. Hot Crush Lover and Fair were never all that memorable, so I don't care that either of them are gone. As for I Can't Help But Feel, that's the one that Hits 1 is still playing? Come on. Speaking of the Abyss, iPad and love nwantiti are gone. iPad was pretty good, so I'm sad it only got one week on the Countdown. As for love nwantiti, I would've liked to see it re-enter, but it's been in the Abyss for forever now, so I don't care that it's gone.

'Cause There's Magic in My Blurbs

This week, we said goodbye to Chosen, I'm Tired, High and One Right Now. I'm really sad to see Chosen go after just one week. That sucks. Fingers crossed that it'll re-enter. I'm Tired was bad, and never should've been on the radio in the first place, so I'm glad it's gone. High was alright, and I think it did just well enough for how good it was. As for One Right Now, it's still ridiculously forgettable, so I don't care that it's gone. Plus, it did really well here.

Definitely didn't expect Sunroof to jump, but here we are.

Weatherman fell six spots this week, which is great. The sooner we can get rid of this, the better.

Hunh. As It Was is still in the bottom 10. I'm 99% sure this will be short-lived, but it's interesting that it hasn't had its big jump yet.

Aaaaaaaand there goes Fingers Crossed.

Ok, I'm tired of pretending like I don't like Overpass Graffiti. Sure, it's ridiculously forgettable, but I have so much fun while listening to it, and I let Hits 1 make me lie to myself for too long.

#13-#10 all got pretty big jumps this week, and I'm happy for all of them, especially Big Energy.

Dancing Feet is up at #7! This is certainly unexpected considering how much it's started to flop everywhere else, but very welcome.

Surprisingly, Enemy becomes our first non-consecutive #1 since Golden from earlier last year. I'm really happy to see this back, because I really love it. The way the energy spiked when they played this live was insane and something I'll never forget. I loved yelling out the lyrics to this one with twenty thousand other people. Glad to see it back at #1, this song will always hold a special place in my heart from here on out.

Countdown Extra: 10 Things I Hate About You - Leah Kate

Our first debut this week comes from Shawn Mendes, and his newest, When You're Gone. Now, I'm not gonna say that I dislike Shawn Mendes, because that would be far from the truth. He's an excellent melody writer, probably one of the best out there right now, and he has a great voice. But I seem to get sick of his songs really quickly, and I think I know why. Almost all of the songs I've heard from him have been extremely surface level. There's not too much to unpack, and pretty much everything interesting about the song is presented to you and apparent immediately. Which makes me lose interest in the songs really quickly, because when you've heard everything a song has to offer, and then hear it 80+ times, it gets annoying. But with this new song, I feel like there's still more I have to uncover, which is something I've never really felt before with a Shawn song. Will I still get tired of this song? I might, but for now, I'm really enjoying this one. There's so much to like here, from the writing to his ShawnScream™ in the last couple of choruses. This is another one of those songs that sounds happy, but has sad lyrics, which is something that I love in a song, and I'm still not really sure why. Shawn sounds great here, and his voice compliments the production here pretty well. Speaking of the production, it's nothing too in-your-face, but is still super upbeat and moves the song along quite nicely. Overall, this is a really great song, and I'd love to see it do well here.

Well, after almost a full year, Harry Styles scores his tenth solo song on the Weekend Countdown with his newest Hot 100 #1, As It Was. I've had my ups and downs with Harry's music, with some of his songs being really great, like Sign of the Times and Watermelon Sugar, and some of his songs being absolutely awful, like Adore You and Golden. And obviously, we all know how Hits 1 treats his songs, so that definitely doesn't help my opinion on his songs. But with this new one, honestly, I'm kinda feeling it. It's certainly not the best thing I've heard from him, but it's far from the worst too. For starters, there's this really great melody that pops in every once in a while, and I still love it. Honestly, one of the problems I have with this song is that it doesn't come back often enough. Because when it's not there, the song gets kinda slow and a little boring. The chorus is kinda underwhelming, and the first time, it's hard to even realize that you're in the chorus. But the song evolves as it goes on, so that's good. Harry sounds quite good here too, which is nice. The bridge is kinda weird, and I'm still not a huge fan of it, but the instrumental after the bridge is easily my favourite part of the song. So yeah, for now, I don't mind this one at all. But check in on me a year from now when this is at #1 for its 50th week in a row, and I'll let you know how I feel about it then.

Best Debut: When You're Gone - Shawn Mendes

Biggest Drop: Big Energy - Latto (-9): Oh, come on, Hits 1. This song is easily one of the best songs on radio right now, and they're letting it drop simply because it's a rap song. You've gotta be kidding me.

Biggest Jump: Bam Bam - Camila Cabello/Ed Sheeran, Weatherman - Eddie Benjamin, Woman - Doja Cat, Fingers Crossed - Lauren Spencer-Smith, One Right Now - Post Malone/The Weeknd & Sweetest Pie - Megan Thee Stallion/Dua Lipa (+3): Well, this isn't much of a jump, but I guess I'm happy to see most of them jump (except for Weatherman. That song is hot trash).

Remember Blu DeTiger? She had a song on Hit-Bound a couple years ago called Figure It Out, and it didn't really do much, but she's back with her new song, Hot Crush Lover. This song is definitely more interesting than Figure It Out. I'm not a huge fan of her voice, she's definitely got that underwhelming, TikTok-er voice, but I'd say that the production mostly makes up for it. The song's really groovy and fun, and I like the momentum that it never really drops. The chorus is pretty catchy, even if it's nothing too special or memorable. So yeah, overall, this song isn't too memorable, and I probably won't be able to remember what it sounds like in a month or two, but it's enjoyable.

Next up is New Rules, and before you ask, no, not the Dua Lipa song. Apparently this is a band. Anyways, they bring their new song, Go The Distance this week. I mostly like this song. The melodies throughout it are really good, and I particularly like the production here, it all comes together quite well, but I have one issue with this song. The guy singing sounds good in the verses, but whoever comes in at the chorus sounds a little like Giveon, except with a less powerful voice. It definitely doesn't ruin the song like another Hit-Bound song that's here now (looking at you, Surfaces), but it keeps it from being great, which it easily could've been.

Next up is JVKE, and yeah, I have no clue who this dude is. But if this song, this is what falling in love feels like, is any indication, I don't like him. This song is so bad that it's almost kinda laughable. For starters, it's ridiculously short, clocking in at 2:00. And the song structure is really weird. It goes through two different sections that sound completely different from one another and really shouldn't be in the same song. It goes, section 1, section 2, section 1. Then the song's over. Yeah. Section 1 has super overblown production that honestly just hurts my ears, and in section 2, JVKE sounds really awful. Yeah, so each section has its own problems, and when it all comes together in what's hardly a song, it makes for a really bad one. I'd rather not hear this again, although it is kinda fun to laugh at just how bad this is.

When I first heard this new Lauv song, All 4 Nothing, I definitely didn't expect it to get a single airplay add. But, to my surprise, this is actually gaining traction on pop radio. And I'm pretty happy that it is, because it's a pretty great little song. I've always liked Lauv's voice, it's pretty unique, which makes it pretty polarizing, but I like it. Anyways, this song is really catchy. It's in a weird mid-tempo, where it's not too upbeat, but it's far from a slow song too, because it has a certain drive. Which I'm not a huge fan of, but whatever. I can't really understand what Lauv's saying a lot of the time, but that's just kinda the pop artist inflection, so I can't really complain about that too much. But yeah, overall, this is a catchy, fun song that has great, upbeat production.

almost monday return to Hits 1 this week with a second song after til the end of time, sunburn. I'm unsure how I feel about this song. It's extremely forgettable, and I'm not a huge fan of the dude's voice, but I definitely don't hate it. I actually kinda enjoy it? I don't know. I need some more listens to really decide, but I'll put it in pink for now. I have a feeling it won't really matter anyways.

So Russ... exists. I've never had to review his music before, but I guess I have to now, because the Ktlyn remix of HANDSOMER debuted on Hit-Bound this week. Um... this is a song. It's really stupid, Russ doesn't sound amazing, but he's far from bad. The production is pretty bad, and the lyrics are really terribly written, but... I don't hate it? I don't know, I also feel like I have to listen to this more, but for now, it has clear problems, but it's kinda fun?

Next up is the second-most successful Fifth Harmony member, Normani, and her new song, Fair. I've never been a huge R&B fan, even though I have respect for the genre. I just find it kinda boring, but the artists are definitely talented. Yeah, I don't really like this one. Don't get me wrong, Normani sounds great here, and the melody in the chorus is great, but I get so bored with this song that I literally got distracted while writing this review. I'd be fine with not ever hearing this song again.

This week, we say goodbye to Don't Forget My Love, Remind Me, Bones, Tom's Diner and MF. The first three find themselves in the Abyss, so I'm not sad that they're gone, because they'll all probably debut. As for the other two, Tom's Diner was awful, so I'm extremely glad it's gone. As for MF, it was forgettable but fun, so I'm kinda sad to see it go.

You Know It's Not the Same As It Blurbs

This week, we say goodbye to THATS WHAT I WANT and abcdefu. I got kinda tired of abcdefu, and it did quite well here, so I'm not disappointed that it's gone. As for THATS WHAT I WANT, even though it spent three weeks at #1, I still love it so much, so I'm still sad to see it go.

Both Out of Time and House On Fire dropped a bunch this week, and I'm not sure why. Hopefully they'll both rebound.

Seems like Sacrifice will be out soon, which is fine, it's far from the best Weeknd song.

Ugh, When I'm Gone jumped back up again. I'm starting to get tired of this one.

Numb Little Bug is up at #2, which is great! I'd love to see it hit #1 here (although I know it won't, because Em Beihold isn't a white man or Taylor/Olivia).
