Countdown Extra: I Hate U - SZA

Our only debut this week is Emmy Meli with I AM WOMAN at #25. I'm still a little unsure how I feel about this song. On one hand, it's pretty strange, and the production seems to bury Emmy Meli's voice a bit. But on the other hand, the writing is great, and Emmy Meli sounds good in the chorus. Overall, I guess this all kinda balances out into the "decent" tier. I'd be alright with this sticking around for a bit, but I wouldn't really care either way.

Also, for some ridiculous reason, Bite Me re-enters the Countdown all the way up at #10. I guess I'm not complaining, but this makes no sense whatsoever.

Biggest Drop: STAY - The Kid LAROI/Justin Bieber (-5): Okay, I'm fine with this. It's been hanging around the bottom for a long time now, and while I still enjoy the song a lot, I'd be alright to see this make room for some new stuff.

Biggest Jump: Wandered To LA - Juice WRLD/Justin Bieber (+4): I like this song, so I'm happy that it's jumping a bit.

Our only new Hit-Bound song this week is Hands On You by some guy named Austin George. This song's pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of his voice, but the trap production's pretty good, and the chorus is quite catchy. Not much else to add here, it's just a good, somewhat forgettable song.

It'll Be Okay also re-entered Hit-Bound this week after dropping out of the Countdown. I'm really sad that it's flopping on pop radio, but I'm glad it's not gone for good.

We only lost one song this week, 2011 by 5SOS. I definitely expected this song to debut, so I'm pretty surprised that it didn't. Not ridiculously sad about it, though, because it was pretty forgettable.

Also, I'd just like to point out that only ten songs on Hit-Bound aren't on the Countdown at the same time. This is getting a little ridiculous. It's a new music show.

I Am Blurb-man, I Have Feelings

Our only other exit other than It'll Be Okay is My Universe. I kinda wish that this had stuck around for a bit longer, because it was pretty good.

Literally nothing happened this week other than Easy On Me dropping to #5. I genuinely thought that this would hit #1, so I'm pretty surprised that it didn't.

Also, Shivers is still #1, which sucks. Don't get me wrong, I still love the song, but ten weeks in a row at #1 is extremely excessive.
