I really didn't expect this and our highest debut to debut this week. Anyways, both Nessa Barrett and jxdn score their first song on the Countdown with la di die. This is a fun song. The best part is easily the production, which is honestly pretty great, but I don't love either person's voice here. The chorus is pretty catchy, which is good, and I like the verses too. Overall, this is just decent.

I have no clue how telepatía by Kali Uchis has become a Top 40 hit, but alas, it debuts at #26 this week. I still don't really like this song. There's nothing particularly bad about it, but the song as a whole is pretty substanceless and very forgettable. I can't possibly see this staying here for too long and I hope it doesn't.

So, I hope you guys enjoyed your one week of not having any One Direction members on the Countdown, as Anne-Marie and Niall Horan debut this week with Our Song. It's fine, though, because I like this song. I think both Niall and Anne-Marie sound good here and the song's pretty catchy.

I thought Hit-Bound was a show for new music. But for whatever reason, four out of our fifteen Hit-Bound songs have already been on the Countdown, as both Once In A Lifetime and First Time re-entered Hit-Bound this week. Meh for both of these. Neither of them were gonna have good runs anyways, so I'm not ridiculously disappointed.

Well... this definitely isn't the New Music Friday song that I thought was gonna debut. But for whatever reason, Jalebi Baby by Tesher and Jason Derulo appears on Hit-Bound this week. This song's pretty fun, both artists sound good, but the hook's slightly annoying and the song as a whole is pretty forgettable.

Lil Nas X scores his fifth song on Hits 1 this week, as SUN GOES DOWN debuts Hit-Bound this week. I really like this song. The writing is easily the best part of this song, as he successfully attacks some heavier topics. Everything else about this song works well too, though. Lil Nas X sounds good and the production's pretty good. It's a nice chill song and while I don't think it's his best, I really enjoy it.

Remember Claire Rosinkranz from her Hit-Bound Dropout Backyard Boy last year? Well, she's back with a new song, Frankenstein this week. I didn't really like Backyard Boy, but this is much better. I never had a huge issue with Claire's voice, and I still don't. The production in this song is much cleaner and a lot less is happening in it. Overall, this song is just fun and I like it.

Billie Eilish's new song, Lost Cause debuts Hit-Bound this week. In a nutshell, this is a much less interesting version of all the good girls go to hell. It follows kind of the same production style as it, but it's much quieter and less interesting. I don't like Billie's voice and the song as a whole isn't interesting or memorable at all. Yeah, I don't really like this one.

We lost three Hit-Bound songs this week, Calling My Phone, Arcade and RAPSTAR. Calling My Phone should've fully left when it left the Countdown, so I'm not disappointed about that. I'm not entirely convinced that Arcade is gone, and RAPSTAR should've done better.

Our only other exit this week was Save Your Tears, and I'm glad that that song managed to have a slow exit, even if it was only because Hits 1 wanted to play the Ariana Grande remix for a while.

Needless to say, I'm very glad that Build a B**** is down to #28. I really hope that it leaves soon, because there's no reason for it to be here.

Why is Peaches still here? I know that it dropped this week, but I'm still just really shocked that it's a hit at all.

You had a really big seven-spot jump this week, which is really surprising.

Best Friend is up in the top 15. I'm definitely fine with this song being a hit.

Looks like We're Good may not stay for much longer, which I'm alright with, because it was never great.

Way Less Sad fell out of the top 5 this week. Come on, Hits 1. You know you're allowed to let AJR have the #1 spot, right?

deja vu dropped off of the #1 spot this week, falling down to #3. I'm totally fine with this, because the song's definitely not my favourite, and our new #1 is much better...

So... we have a new record. good 4 u by Olivia Rodrigo debuted in the bottom 5 at #26 last week, and now it jumps up 25 spots to be our new #1 on only its second week. I'm like 99% sure that that's a new record for the fastest climb to #1. And it's not even like the top 45 influenced it that much! The song definitely didn't have enough momentum to debut two weeks ago. This song definitely deserves it, and I hope that this is a sign that it'll stay at #1 for a bunch of weeks. Maybe it'll even beat Sucker's record for most weeks at #1! Who knows?
