(Slamming head on desk) I don’t understand Hits 1. The countdown wasn’t spectacular this week, the excessive Hit-Bound re-entries don’t help, but we still have a great #1. Now for a couple announcements. Countdown Extra: Bad Child - Tones And I

Our first of two debuts this week is actually a song from 2016, which got remixed and then became a Tik Tok song. It’s the Imanbek remix of Roses by SAINt JHN. This is a great song. The pitched-up vocals sound much better than the pitched-down vocals of Ride It. Although the vocals are somewhat hard to hear, it’s definitely better. The production I honestly like, even though it seems very blown up. Overall, not a spectacular song, but good nonetheless. *3 weeks on Voting Poll, 2 weeks in Hit-Bound

A very hyped-up song for charity debuts next, called Stuck with U by Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. Overall, this is a fantastic vocal performance for both artists. Ariana sounds great as always, and this is actually one of Justin’s best vocal performances. His falsetto has some weird effect on it though. Overall, I think the song’s a little forgettable, but it’s still very solid. *1 week on Voting Poll, 0 weeks in Hit-Bound

Best Debut: Stuck with U - Ariana Grande/Justin Bieber

Biggest DROP!!!: Stupid Love - Lady Gaga (-11): I for sure lost interest in this song, and I think most of the world did too, since it’s starting to flop on the charts. Overall, I think it’s a lazy attempt at a song, and although kind of catchy, it just feels kind of boring at points. It’s also extremely forgettable and within a year, I will have forgotten about this.

Biggest Jump: The Bones - Maren Morris (+26): I did not see this coming. The reason was because it isn’t on the voting poll, but this is a great song that’s absolutely a hit, so I’m happy.

I feel like I need to talk about the Beyoncé remix of Savage since I only talked about the original last week, and I think Beyoncé just feels extremely unnecessary. This song was perfectly fine without her, and she honestly brings down the song quite a bit for me.

CITY OF ANGELS and the other girl are back, and although I’m excited they’re not gone, I don’t like the excessive re-entries. Although I guess technically this is the other girl’s first week in Hit-Bound since it never actually debuted Hit-Bound… yeah, we’re not getting into that debate.

I Hope actually debuted Hit-Bound, which is good.

So for some reason, Sunday Best is on Hit-Bound? But also on the countdown? I honestly have no clue what’s going on here, and Hits 1 has just been getting stranger and stranger.

Okay, now onto the actual new songs this week, starting with Daisies by Katy Perry. This song’s not great. Overall, the verses are kind of boring, and then she screams in the chorus and it just sounds really bad. I don’t like this, although there may be people who do, and that’s fine.

Next up is X by the Jonas Brothers and KAROL G, and WOW the Jonas Brothers know how to make a bop! This song is just so catchy, and just an absolute jam every single time I hear it. KAROL G feels unnecessary, but overall it’s a very good song that I know for a fact will do well here.

I’m Stuck with Blurbs, Stuck with Blurbs, Stuck with Blurbs!

We lost four Hit-Bound songs this week. Check Your Phone, Six Feet Apart, Boyfriend and 17. CYP and SFA were pretty good, so I’m a little sad, but 17 and Boyfriend were due to go.

I’m Ready dropped this week. Logic? Psssh, what’s that?

RITMO’s doing alright. Not great, but alright, so maybe it’ll do better in the coming weeks. I mean, The Bones pulled it off.

Adore You continues to fall a lot, while still being on the voting poll. This is a very good sign, because Don’t Start Now should overtake it in points next week.

Well… it looks like Be Kind might be a flop. I honestly thought this would do well. We’ll see how it moves on the Hot 100 before we see though.

So for some reason, Hits 1 did a tone of random useless edits to death bed, to make it sound like a breakup rather than him dying, and somehow made it even worse.

Why did Intentions fall out of the top 20? It’s a hit and just accept that, Hits 1!

Oh My God and Falling made it into the top 20 this week. I understand Falling although I’m not too happy about it, but why does Alec Benjamin have to hit the top 20 with every song he puts out?

Don’t Start Now took a huge hit this week, but it’s okay because Break My Heart is at #6.
